The Primary Leaving Examinations of 2020 are set to be released on Friday, 16th July 2021at 11am by the Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni-the Minister announced on her Twitter account.
As soon as the results are released, candidates, parents and stakeholders will be able to access the results of individual learners via SMS by typing PLE <Space> Full Index Number, e.g. 003301/368 and send to 6600 on all mobile telecom networks. Head teachers and school Administrators will access the results through the UNEB portal using their usual details.
According to Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), a total of 749, 811 candidates sat their exams that commenced on March 26, 2021. There was an increase of 54,007 (7.8 %) from candidature of 2019. The candidates sat from 14,300 examination Centres. 53% (395,855) of the registered candidates were females while 47% (353,957) were males. 68.4% (513,091) were funded by government under the Universal Primary Education (UPE) Program.
With the PLE results released, the release of UCE and UACE will be near.
